Ausenco awarded Jinfeng Gold Project.

Ausenco has been awarded Sino Gold’s Jinfeng Gold Project located in Guizhou Province in Southern China. Basic engineering has commenced in the company’s Brisbane office with detailed design and procurement expected to take place in Nanchang China in conjunction with a Chinese Design Institute.
The Jinfeng Gold Project is a 200,000 oz per annum refractory gold project comprising, crushing, grinding, flotation, biological leaching utilising BIOX® technology, CIL processing and associated infrastructure. The project is the first Greenfield gold project to be undertaken by a Western mining company in China.

This contract adds to Ausenco’s Asian regional experience, which currently includes the Feasibility Study and basic engineering for the Oyu Tolgoi Project being in Mongolia, design and construction of Oxiana’s Sepon Copper/Gold Project in Laos, the design and construction of Highlands Pacific’s Kainantu Gold Project in PNG, the Feasibility Study for Newmont’s Martabe Gold Project in Indonesia and the Feasibility Study for Herald Resource’s Dairi Zinc/Lead Project in Indonesia.
Ausenco currently is completing projects with a total capital value of $2 billion for projects in various parts of the world. Countries where Ausenco is currently active include; China, Indonesia, Laos, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Tanzania and Vietnam.
